Meet our General Manager: Kristian Lazona

Kristian Lazona is a licensed engineering geologist and safety practitioner who has over a decade of technical expertise in geotechnical investigation, hydrology, and construction management.
He brings in a decade of knowledge and technical experience in geotechnical investigation and engineering, hydrology, and construction management based on his time in the field dealing with problematic projects that have cost his client's valuable time and money in terms of project reworks and unnecessary business and labor costs.
He uses survey equipment and instruments based on personal experience that would give accurate real-time data to help simplify and estimate the work that needs to be done, avoiding guesswork and uncertainty when working on the projects.
He likes to tackle project challenges and collaborates with clients to fix delayed and problematic projects on a regular basis.
He leads a team that is trained to work with inexperienced clients as well as clients that have done multiple reworks and are in need of urgent help to avoid project failure.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in Geological and Earth Science from Adamson University (2014) and a master’s degree in Management Engineering from Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (2018).
Currently serving as General Manager and Geotechnical Consultant for Groundsolv Development Corporation, Kristian has led numerous industrial projects, including geotechnical investigations, geo-resistivity and thermal resistivity surveys, soil testing, and deep well drilling for environmental and structural compliance.
His career highlights include:
Senior Geotechnical Engineer at Boskalis, contributing to the Manila International Airport Project through soil testing and ground improvement work.
Project lead at Semirara Mining and Power Corporation, managing the Open-Pit Dewatering Drilling Program and geological databases.
Hydrologist and engineering geologist at Maynilad Water Services Inc.
Geotechnical team leader at Geotechnics Philippines Inc. (GPI), overseeing investigations for high-rise structures, bridges, dams, and roads — with responsibilities spanning drilling management, safety, and technical reporting.
Kristian is known for his creativity, efficiency, and clear communication, earning multiple commendations for being decisive, self-driven, and proactive.
Outside of work, he enjoys going to the gym, cooking, and spending quality time with family and friends.
He continually seeks new project opportunities in geology, management, geohazard assessment, safety, and groundwater resource development.
